I live in the Nashville, Tennessee area; moved here from Dallas in June of 2002.
I got started in photography as a teenager. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie. My bedroom closet was the dark room where I developed my first roll of film and made my first contact prints. I shot 35mm during my late teens and twenties and remained active. Though my love of photography never waned, the time I spent behind a camera subsided in my thirties.
Digital photography got my creative juices flowing again. For me the digital age was a new frontier with endless possibilities. The advances in digital photography in the last few years have been nothing short of amazing. These advances and being able to work creatively in a dry (digital) darkroom renewed my passion for this wonderful art form.
